Call for RIS Education Experiments: Information Session

EIT Climate KIC has launched a call for RIS Education Experiments for 2022. Applications may be submitted until the deadline on 8th July 00:00 CET.

What is RIS EduEx?

Educational experiments can be defined as short projects (or pilots) that test novel ways of responding to a challenge within education, learning, skills development, in the context of tackling climate change.

In this context an experiment is a test or a pilot project carried out to learn something or to discover if something works. The experiment design, target audience and format is for you to propose.

EIT Climate-KIC is offering a minimum of 50% in co-funding (up to a maximum of EUR 20,000) from the start of the contract in September until December 31, 2022. Up to 4 experiments may be awarded this year. These learning experiments are co-funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS). 

Who can apply?

Βoth EIT Climate-KIC partners and new collaborators are invited, e.g. civil society organisations, non-governmental organisations, municipalities, research institutions, private actors and education institutions, to join us in rolling out a series of education experiments this year. 

Applications will only be accepted by entities operating and active in any of the following RIS countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Montenegro*, Republic of North Macedonia*, Serbia*, Turkey*, Ukraine*, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Martinique, Mayotte and Saint-Martin (France), the Azores and Madeira (Portugal), and the Canary Islands (Spain). 

Note among other eligibility criteria, there is a 50% co-funding eligibility requirement for this grant. Please see the call guidance materials for further information on eligibility.

How can you apply?

Once you have reviewed the call document carefully and have decided to proceed with your proposal for RIS EduEx 2022, then you are invited to:

  • Prepare the Application Form using the Word template. This also includes a budget template.
  • Submit the Application Form as an attachment (PDF) to an email sent to [email protected] before the submission deadline on 08 July 2022 at 00:00 CEST. Please indicate the name of your organisation and the name of the experiment in the email subject title. EIT Climate-KIC will only review applications submitted before the deadline.
