Our idea is a plant that will tell us if it needs water or sunlight. The main problem that people face today is constant engagement, excessive responsibilities, and too many problems that they themselves are not always skilled enough to solve. Due to the limitations of the individual in recent years there are an enormous number of technologies that facilitate the fast life of man. Existing obsolete innovations are renewed and expanded, and independently new ones are developed. As one of the leading technologies in the IT market we would mention the smart technology, without which today we could not imagine a single day. Precisely because of the use of smart phones. In this project idea we will pay attention to the development of a new smart product which will be a step forward in the use of smart products in everyday life. Our task, the purpose of this project is to make a concept of development of a smart product, a specific product that we called "Smart plant". In this part of the project description we will give a brief introduction to our innovative smart product. Every plant requires care and that is an obligation for us. It needs to be treated appropriately so that it can survive and develop further. This includes the dedicated attention, the dedicated work, the necessary sunlight, the water as an inevitable factor ... Due to certain obligations, lack of time, it happens that we forget about the obligations towards our flowers at home. That's why our idea for this product came up. Our basic idea is "Flowers that tell us when they are thirsty". How do we plan it all to look like? In this part, the product will be explained from a technical aspect, from its technological performance. Take for example a flower that is planted in a pot on our window. In order for that flower to function, it needs good soil, heat, sunlight, water ... Exactly our product is related to the soil moisture in the pot. Since we pour a quantity of water in the pot itself, the soil absorbs the water and the plant has water as a condition for life. However, gradually the soil moisture in the pot decreases and for a certain period of time it is necessary to re-supply the amount of water in the pot. To save time when the soil moisture level will decrease, we decided our product to have a moisture sensor that will be in direct contact with the soil in the pot and thus will read the soil moisture, and through a speaker and recorded audio recording, after the humidity drops below a certain limit will notify us of re-pouring water into the pot. There will also be a light sensor that will tell us if there is enough sunlight. Our device will also be able to connect to an application on the phone, where the user will receive notifications. With this product we hope to help in the cultivation of plants and in their care. There will be a microcontroller, to which the other parts are connected. The device switches on the ON / OFF button, it works using battery. It is placed in the soil by injecting the sensor for soil moisture. Soil light and humidity sensors send information to the control unit in which there is entered database with information on required light and humidity of several types of plants. If there is not enough light or if the soil is not moist enough, it will turn on the recorded sound. There is a connection to a telephone application to which the user receives notifications about the condition of the flowers. Our team consists of the following members: Ema Spiroska, Natalia Mladenovska, Borche Stavrov and Mila Spiroska. We are students at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, at the faculty of mechanical Engineering.
