The increase in population requires food production and productivity to increase simultaneously, however, pest and disease have made for challenging conditions. Our team is developing an early prediction platform that detect plant pathogens when they are airborne before they infect plants. This will enable easier identification of potential threats and alert farmers to take timely precautions.

SOLUTION AND NEED
A solar powered field device that detect plant pathogens when they are still airborne and before they infect plants. And recommends methods to treat plants by sending message to farmers smart phone. It provide farmers with early warning to airborne plants pathogens that can devastate yields, increase use of chemical and raise operational cost.

TECHNOLOGY
HOW FELCO WORKS
FELCO device works by ingesting, inspecting and transmitting air particles to the cloud where machine learning and classification algorithm analyze them continuously and alert farmers of counts of active spores. This allows for preventive action to be taken to maximize yields and reduce operating costs.

Using our machine learning classification algorithms, data is analyzed against pre-taught digital signature libraries for specific pathogens / particles. ​As a result, we provide high confidence daily and hourly counts of airborne spores for the diseases in scope for the project

Dashboards and alerts are accessible to customers via a secure, online, mobile capable portal.
