Smart Street Lights

In the last few years, we have noticed an increasing need to move away from traditional energy sources, mainly for two reasons, their effect on the planet Earth and their certain disappearance from over-exploitation. That is why we need to focus on green and alternative energy sources such as solar energy. Although a street lamp does not consume too much electricity, a system of such lamps, whether at the municipal, city, or state level, is a serious consumer. From there we get the idea for Smart Street Lights, they would be a lamp or a group of lamps that are self-sustaining, they would be charged with the help of collectors for sunlight during the day, which will be used as electricity at night for their power supply. In order to have even greater energy conservation, sensors are provided that would detect movement and at that moment would turn on the lamps in order to avoid unnecessary energy consumption. Also, the intensity of the light would be different at night compared to the morning and in the hours before dusk, the same would be done with light sensors or with information from a meteorological station. These lights can be used as a large network throughout a city or locally for example in a neighborhood or in the yard of a house. The whole system could be controlled through a simple mobile application. If successfully implemented, the project would significantly help reduce the use of electricity from traditional sources as well as automation to reduce the use of human resources.
