Idea Description
It is an invention of a machine that will generate electricity like the same way hydroelectric
system does yet uses hydraulic system.
It is an efficient and effective machine by which electricity is generated to large proportions whilst
feeding little power to a small pumping ram in the hydraulic system with big lifting rams, driving
gears directly rotating a big generator to desired speed without constraints.
This machine is new and unique basing on my reference to the search I did on WIPO parentscope.
Renewable electricity is easily generated as the machine operates like a hydraulic Jack which
needs little effort on the lever on the pumping ram yet lifting heavy loads on the lifting ram, of
which here the loads on the lifting ram represents a big generator. The lever on the pumping ram
represents a low watt electric motor. A prototype has been made using little power equvalent to an
electric jug operaying a hydraulic system which rotates a generator that feeds nine (9)
households powering all electric gadgets stoves and water heaters without constraints. There are
other components and logic controllers in the hydraulic system used to make all strokes on the
rams connecting gears giving unidirectional rotation on the generator thereby generating
continously high values of electricity.
The machine doesn't use fuel, gas or coal but uses an independent power source to start turning an
electric motor operating the hydraulic system, and may be optionally disconnected from the
independent power source minutes later after starting to sustain itself through feedback from the
generated electricity from the generator. Power generated is fed into the control panel for further
distribution to power stations and points of need.
The innovation addresses the energy sector, offering new sources of generating renewable
electricity to offset the use of coal, gases and fuel which pollute the atmosphere causing global
warming, to increase electricity capacity which hydroelectric generation is failing to provide as we
witness blackouts, load shedding and other areas which need electrification but still not
connected to the grid. This innovative project will enhance SDG7 and other sustainable
development goals whereby reducing global warming and participation towards achievement of
100 percent ranking by 2030
The machine will provide renewable, sustainable and uninterrupted supply as it is not affected by
weather conditions like most other sources Hydroelectric generation is determined by river gorges
and the down fall of water. Solar system is also determined by sunlight intensity and heat whilst
Windmills rely upon wind flow. This hydraulic gear driven machine generation electricity also
supports smart grid system like hydroelectric generation unlike solar and wind sources of energy
which do not give a steady balance as power from these sources are inconsistent.
The project fit well to address and provide social upliftment of ordinary citizens as it addresses
some of the sustainable development goals starting by providing affordable and clean energy
(sdg7) because it doesn't not use fuel, thus no emissions promoting good healthy standards. By
implementing this project will lead to employment creation and economic growth (SDG8) as it
provides low cost energy which will open opportunities to new business deals national and
internationally. This is clear as cheaper energy will be embraced everywhere and highly utilised to
meet domestic and industrial needs. Use of firewood, coal and gas will be greatly reduced
promoting clean cooking methods, heating and boiler systems .With decent work and economic growth experienced poverty will be reduced (sdg 1) and the countries will be zero percent
hunger (SDG2) because ordinary people will start earning an income thereby providing their
needs easily.
The innovation can turn into a project that can be sustained and scaled up to national or
international level as it has little limitations regarding its operations and sizes. All components
used are common which have been invented many years ago and had passed through various tests
and standards of fitness and durability. The only difference now is the combination of these
components as they are used on this project offering unique function.
Business to business or business to consumer (B2B2C ) is the revenue generation model of
services will be used on the project as will sell to other businesses or power utilities and or to
consumers. The revenue streams mainly will be through selling of products and also would be
having other standards generators for medium loads targeting farms, companies, mines, schools
and other institutions which might opt to be off national grids. I am sure to generate funds also
through product support and backup spares and services as we would offer.
I, (Gideon Kagudu ) the inventor, who is professionally trained through apprenticeship in
electrical power engineering and have been exposed much in mechanical and fluid mechanics for
over thirty (30) years. I have managed to register one patent with ARIPO.for a wood table saw.
Also have made a working prototype of this electricity generating machine and entered a
hackarton drive where I was awarded a certificate of participation.
