GlaSEES
Description
Our buissnes idea is a wearable device for blind people. Specifically we are referring to a pair of glasses which has an attached high definition camera and an earpiece.
Our aim is to give the oppurtunity to blind people to read whichever text they wish even though its not written in a Brille form for example drugs instructions, newspapers, food labels etc.
Τhe process takes place in three stages. During the first phase, in which the person wears the device, a picture is taken with the help of vocal instructions and signals in order to be as clear as possible. In the second phase the photograph's pixels are translated into a word document with an optical character recognition software. In the third phase, through a text to speech software the word is converted to a vocal message. The user will be able to hear the message through the earpiece.
The product is addressed to the worldwide market.
