Futurella is an application-driven service that provides umbrella renting and purchasing for customers of busy rainy cities. Our recycle promotion raises awareness on the topic of raw material waste as we offer our solution : instead of throwing away your umbrella , withdraw it in one of our stations (DrySpots) .

Umbrellas are a common item found in almost every retail and convenience store. Even so, most of the time there are disposed incorrectly and not recycled. Even when recycled it is almost certain neither the metal parts or the cloth will be fully utilized for the recycling process

Since our target audience are busy commuting people of a restless working city , the umbrellas promote business that are on the same page with our ecofriendly approach and support it. It is proven that an idea is easier to be embraced by the public once it has become a reliable part of their reality.

Scientists are positive , we are anticipating an approximate 7% rise of precipitation this year alone while the danger for sudden and extreme weather is quite high. Our world is headed towards a climate where rain will be the dominant source of precipitation and is already shattering records of extreme precipitation in numerous countries. Global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions have been increasing, but people still need to prepare for a fiercer climate. Help us ensure the future of our planet while also protecting yourself from adverse weather conditions.

This business plan was put together in the context of "Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship" in the University of the Aegean. The purpose of this project was to raise awareness around alternative ecofriendly solutions and service providing via umbrella renting and purchasing.
