Electric Shared E-Scooter

In the past decade, America has struggled with an obesity epidemic. In the early 2000s, obesity was at its peak, with McDonald’s’ “Super-Size” menu options, huge SUVs, and endless television programs to keep lazy people on the couch. If one were to visit New York City’s Manhattan, one will not see many obese people hurrying down 5th avenue to hop on the subway or pick up groceries at the local market. Why is this? Not many people drive in New York City, mainly because it would be far too expensive to buy and park a car in this already monumentally expensive city. The cars one does generally see are either from out of state, taxis, or businessmen who live in the other boroughs of the city. Very few who live in Manhattan drive. Most people take the subway, walk, or use bikes to get around. Because of the way it’s made, everything one needs is just a few blocks away, from the grocery store to the drugstore, to the post office, to the bank, there really is no need to have a car. Naturally, people who walk and bike everywhere are slimmer and healthier. In the suburbs, this is not the story. Many people in the suburbs drive cars out of necessity because it would take the whole day to walk to the grocery store and back. The way suburbs are set up, walking or biking is almost impossible to do if it’s not for leisure. Driving around all day to pick up kids, go to work, and finally pull into the home garage can be draining and stressful. If people were to get around and get exercise at the same time, they would be less stressed and healthier. Andrew Selsky quoted businessman Carlos Arturo Plaza in his article, “Car-free day is spinning into a big hit in Bogota”. Plaza said that “It’s [limiting car usage] a good opportunity to take away stress and lower air pollution”. Many people are already doing this. Vauban, Germany, is a new “car-free” suburb. In this town, things are close together, just like a city, eliminating the need to use cars. It is not illegal to own a car in Vauban, but people who do must pay a heavy fine and pay for parking on the edge of the city which is also highly expensive. People in the German suburb get along fine without cars, because of the way the city was built. The idea of a “car-reduced” community appeals to North Macedonia as well, and legislators and other government officials are trying to make it happen for the environment as well as the sake of the people.
One of the main goals for environmental change is the goal of reducing air pollution; many cities in North Macedonia have been tormented for many years by this "plague" of negative human influences on our environment and resources. Most cars used today in our country, run on petrol or diesel with combustion engines, which are known to cause air pollution and contribute to climate change and global warming. Adopting stricter environmental laws and prohibitions on emitting harmful gases lead to the development of alternative fuel systems. Efforts are being made to improve or replace existing technologies through the development of hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles, or hydrogen-driven vehicles that do not pollute the air.
In our capital city Skopje, we have a major environmental issue when it comes to smog and polluted air. My business proposition is focusing on a government initiative of permitting “electric scooter rentals”. These rental scooters will allow citizens to lease these modes of transportation through the application "Electric Scooter Skopje", the application will be connected to all e-scooters that are embedded with a GPS (global positioning system). There will be several locations where these can be found called "charging bases" through neighborhoods and blocks throughout the city, where people can lease them, but they do not have to return them to the "bases", citizens will have the option to leave them through the city. For example, a student or employee who wishes to head to work or school who lives in the inner city will have the option to lease these scooters, they will begin by downloading the highlighted app from their App Store. These e-scooters will be equipped with an NFT software that allows for regular daily devices with Bluetooth to tap the scooter with their device and head on their way. All payments will be made through the application. In half an hour using an electric trot, the price will be sixty denars or one euro for every 15 minutes of their ride. Not long after their implantation throughout the city after 350 rides they should be able to pay themselves off resulting in a higher profit margin for those who take initiative in this business.
This business idea will help guide people in ways of bringing cleaner air and resources to the environment. This project will be supported and subsidized by the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia. In addition, the most important goal is that the tax funds from the added value (VAT) will be allocated to contributing these extra funds to new waste bins that will now be located approximately every 20 meters throughout the city and many more environmentally friendly projects that are to come. Furthermore, these waste bins will be found more commonly and will offer citizens a place designated for their trash. This will help our environment by offering places for people to toss their trash rather than carelessly tossing it into the environment which results in the depletion of environmental resources. With this said, the goal is to encourage businesses that focus on the continuation of environmental relief practices to allow future generations to see nature in a more beautiful and cleaner light
