One of the most frustrating parts about hospitals are wait times, tedious appointment scheduling processes and bureaucratic burdens. Booking appointments can be a time consuming task and sometimes not even possible, leaving you no other choice but to wait in line to see your medical professional. My product would outright eliminate these problems by allowing medical personnel to offer their patients a quick and easy way to book their own appointments on their terms, and the patients themselves an intuitive way to access their services.
My product is a web application or possibly a mobile app where the patients will be able to make an appointment that is sent to the doctor for approval. Doctors and clinics define their own time slots with specific constraints and patients can pick and choose the one that is most appropriate for them. With this tool the doctor and patient will be coordinated and can make their way without any wait times and, possibly, even without any direct contact pre-check up. Patients will describe their condition on the application so the doctors can be prepared in advance.
Medical personnel need a way to better organize their time and appointments with patients to maximize their potential and services. Private caregivers can have an upper hand over their competitors by allowing their patients easier access to their services. Patients will have a seamless method for scheduling check ups without filling in any paperwork, a better overview of the services provided by the clinic and overall, be more satisfied with the entire process.
My product can be used by nationalized healthcare systems to offer the citizens better and seamless services. Public healthcare, as we all know, can be riddled with corruption. Digitalising the appointment process can reduce this by eliminating any middle-men, bribes and connections that stand between the citizens and their basic and guaranteed right to healthcare. Besides public healthcare systems, the product can be tailored for private clinics, thus giving their customers faster access to services and increasing their profits with more efficient time-management made possible by us.
The source of revenue for this product is the up-front payment to use the product, paying to get a tailored experience with the product by customizing it for each client and of course, maintenance and on-going support and updates for the product.
In order for us to develop this product, we need a team of software engineers, UI/UX designers for the web and/or mobile application, for functionality and for ease of use. The team must also contain an expert of the medical field to give insights during the development and maintenance/support process. Lawyers and economists could be of good use as well.
The web application will be easy to use, for the doctors and for the patients. It won't require any downloads. The client can customize the authentication by either allowing logins and registrations or, as is the case for public health care, giving the patients an option to simply book an appointment by entering their social number, health id number, name, phone number or similar.
