The primary objectives of this startup are to advance the circular economy and inform Greek local communities about more environmentally friendly lifestyles and sustainable growth. The mission is to provide new innovative methods for waste management and to begin the process of creating a sustainable environment. The provided service is an app that provides the food industry with specialized knowledge that leads to the optimization of waste management gains and the efficient valorization of organic waste, particularly during the summer months when tourism activity is higher. Some common consequences in their areas include low waste transportation frequency and the lack of treatment of landfill units. Massive amounts of municipal waste, infrequent waste transportation, only a few times in the last ten years only few or not all facilities for recycling and waste processing which all conclude in huge amounts of unexploitable waste produced by the tourism industry.

Circunet is a New Web Application for Food Waste Composting that aims to build a booking and knowledge system based on interconnection between consumers and waste processors in order to deliver circular economy in local areas. Someone can do all of the procedures to drop off their food waste responsibly in a circular system rather than a linear system using their mobile phone. Someone will have the ability and complete control over producing a high quality fertilizer for its garden, the well-known backyard.

This application will give a new value to the waste materials we throw away on a daily basis, and our perception of them will change.

So we came up with a solution that would either reduce municipal waste or find a way to smartly utilize it through innovative methods. As a result, waste management would be more effective and efficient, and all services could be provided via an app that would connect the entire network.
