Description
The market we are targeting is the total 371 Municipalities or 19 provinces and regions in Greece and Cyprus to start with. We have plans of expansion in other countries as well in the future.
Our profit will come from the sale of each device as a unit for every bin of a municipality in order to cover its needs and also from a small subscription cost that we will charge for customers to use our services. We will also charge a technical support fee in case of device failure and we will also provide our customers with an optional extra service in which, for a fee, we will provide them with statistics and useful information regarding the functionality of the bins, the peak hours of the bins, which bins are filled more frequently, etc. in order to avoid unnecessary garbage truck trips so that they can schedule them accordingly (which makes it an environmentally friendly solution).
Everything will be controlled through our easy-to-use application, which enables each municipality to easily and quickly monitor its waste management system with just one click. The customer will be able to receive real-time information about the locations of the bins, their functionality, their status (whether they are empty, half-filled or full) as well as statistics (if they choose to) which will be generated with the help of artificial intelligence.
Our team consists of undergraduate students from the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean with extensive knowledge of technology and digital entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the student Dritsa Sophia who produced this business idea has several years of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation and business due to her family background. This makes us the perfect team to advance this idea with you.
What makes our idea unique and distinct is that we provide an integrated service that does not yet exist in Greece or Cyprus and solves a significant problem. It is a reality that most Greek and Cypriot cities are not known for being clean and overflowing garbage bins flood our cities. Our solution is pioneering and promises to provide a clean, healthy and pleasing living environment to the citizens of every city.
