My idea is to increase the market for the production of various metal products by unconventional methods. The old methods for processing and production of steels are still used in our country, while the new methods are being introduced quite slowly. One of these technologies is laser technology. Our main goal is to produce various parts of stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass and titanium that we will offer on the market. The company will also repair damaged parts owned by customers. All of this will be made by our laser technology. Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to vaporize materials, resulting in a cut edge. It is typically used for industrial manufacturing applications. Laser cutting works by directing the output of a high-power laser most commonly through optics. The laser optics and CNC (computer numerical control) are used to direct the material or the laser beam generated. A commercial laser for cutting materials uses a motion control system to follow a CNC or G-code of the pattern to be cut onto the material. The focused laser beam is directed at the material, which then either melts, burns, vaporizes away, or is blown away by a jet of gas, leaving an edge with a high-quality surface finish.
The realization of this idea requires a big amount of finances. This is due to the high cost of these CNC machines, as well as the high energy consumption of them which should be taken into account in the further course of operation. So far, a large workspace has been provided by our sponsor, as well as a small number of machines needed to start the business. We also have a good offer for the necessary raw materials that meet our criteria in terms of combination of price and quality.
The market for this technology is still not very developed in my country. There are only a few companies here that deal with laser cutting. Therefore, I think that with my products and services that I will offer I can be a big competitor. I also think that customers will recognize our quality and accept our products.
The way the company generates income is from the sale of manufactured parts using laser technology, and also from performing services, i.e. repairing parts to customers. First, we will start selling products and services to individuals and legal entities from our country, and over time we do not rule out the possibility of being competitors in the world market, where the profit is of course higher.
The idea is mainly mine and so far I have found a financial expert and an expert in the field of laser processing with 10 years of experience who will later be a mentor to future employees of the company. By combining our knowledge and the circumstances, we consider ourselves mature enough to start this business.
Our idea has all the features that characterize laser cutting like: cutting manganese steels up to 20mm, stainless steel up to 12mm, aluminium up to 10mm, brass and titanium. The customers will enjoy all the benefits that come with our products like: high quality, ultra flexible, small batches custom products etc. Due to the good financial situation, sufficient knowledge in this area and the availability of labor, I believe that the idea can be successfully realized and we can be new competitors in the market.
