My business idea is to create a one-stop-shop for females who are looking for a unique, casual wardrobe and who are always on the lookout for some home decor items that will ramp up their living space. The thought behind this plan is to combine sustainable production and tap into the dominant buying force - women.
With psychical activity being on the rise, people are now more often than ever choosing to wear something that is casual, soft, and easy to handle. The data shows that loungewear and leggings sales spiked by 1,303% in 2020 making it a very profitable, yet competitive business. What distinguishes my idea is the process of creating the merchandise by using print-on-demand services based on the dropshipping model.
Print-on-demand business is a process where you work with a supplier of white-label products to customize those products and sell them on a per-order basis under your own brand and with your own designs. You don’t pay for the cost of the product until after you’ve actually sold it, so there’s no need to buy in bulk or hold any inventory yourself.
Print on demand can be used to build a business based on the dropshipping model—where the products and shipping are all handled by a third party. It’s one of the most accessible ways to source products or starts an online business.
By using the aforementioned method of creating the products, the process will be eco-friendly, and quicker, the shipping process will be taken care of by a third party, and there is no physically holding of any inventory, so it’s easier to add or remove products, test ideas, or pivot the approach.
My company will be focusing on creating one-of-a-kind patterns, that will be unique to the brand and will vary so that everyone can find their perfect match. The business will be exclusively designed for online shopping, meaning there will be no store on location, only an e-shop. The revenue will be generated by selling the product to the customer. The price of the product constitutes the production costs and margin. The margin will be appointed once the marketing, platform, design, and customer service costs are determined.
I am an experienced web designer, with a strong sense of design and proficiency in using the Adobe package, especially Illustrator and Corel Draw. With my background as a Digital Marketer, I believe that I can create unique products and then find a way to efficiently promote them to my targeted audience by using email marketing, social media marketing, SMS marketing, and affiliate marketing.
