There are several cat cafes in New Zealand and Canada, and a few are beginning to appear in the United States. We want to bring them closer. Do you love cats and coffee? People who love coffee and cats can have both at the same time at this place. They also can bring their pet with them as it will be a pet-friendly place. It’s a pretty much unique idea as we don’t have much pet-friendly places around here in Macedonia.
Currently , here in Macedonia we don’t have any cat cafes available which means that there is a need for something like that. Cat cafes can be really popular for kids birthday parties , family outings and special celebrations with friends as they can be suitable for welcoming big group of cat enthusiasts. Cat cafes can be the perfect place to spend the free afternoon as cats are known to bring out the negative things going on in people’s lives. With that being said cat cafes can be really relaxing place where people could read, do their homework, bring their laptops to work or simply enjoy the company of the fur friends. Also we everyday see many stray cats in the streets. This cat café will work to facilitate cat adoptions and save their lives, as well as providing medical treatments. It will be a good place for the customers and for the pets.
This business will initially be intended only for the Macedonian market, and maybe if it develops to move to neighbouring countries. For now we only want to bring this idea to the Macedonian people and see how well it goes. We have many stray cats and I am sure we have plenty of cat lovers in Macedonia that wait for a place like this. The target market of a our cat cafe business is people who love cats. Cat lovers may come for a variety of reasons: to spend time with cats if they themselves don’t have one, to hang out with friends in a fun environment, to support a shelter they believe in.
When located in a popular area, a cat cafe business can bring in a significant revenue. Our business will make money two ways. We will charge customers by the hour for the time that customers spend with cats, and we will charge customers for the food and beverages they order. With cats lounging and playing around, customers tend to stay longer and order more food and drinks. This can increase the profit margins. In addition we can add the possibility of selling merchandise, sell cat food, cat toys and other cat-centered products.
A cat cafe is a place where you can get your caffeine fix and cat fix at the same time. Imagine enjoying your morning cup of coffee and crossword puzzle while a cat looks on next to you. Or catching up with friends after work, petting cats as you unwind. Maybe you need a quiet place to finish your history paper, with a new friend sitting next to you, rhythmically purring. With that imagining I came up with the idea to start this business. I saw this business idea as a place that is not only for humans to enjoy but is also a foster home for the cats. With that being said, we will need a whole team of professionals that will take care of the cats and also serve people. We will need veterinarian to take care of the cat’s health, baristas, waiters and cleaners.
This cat café is not like any usual café where you just sit to pass time. People go to the cat cafes intentionally to spend hours with the cats. Many people don’t have time to have pet at home and to take care of it so we will provide the opportunity for them to be around cats for multiple hours a day. Also people who have lost their cat/pet now can find another friend at our cat café (or maybe multiple friends). The magic in this particular business is satisfaction for both human and cats.
